PHP 4, PHP 5 and PHP 7 Support in Shared Website Hosting
With our Linux shared website hosting, you’ll be able to select which version of PHP will be active for your shared hosting account, as different versions are supported on our servers. With only one click, you will be able to switch between PHP 4, 5, 7 and anytime a new version is launched in the future, we will include it in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel without removing the earlier versions. Thus, you will be able to host all the websites that you have developed over the years. In contrast to lots of other providers, we won’t force you to update such sites, as a script may be out of date, but this does not necessarily mean that it is vulnerable since you may have tweaked its source code to prevent safety breaches. For your convenience, you will even be able to pick a different version of PHP for each individual website that you host in your hosting account.
PHP 4, PHP 5 and PHP 7 Support in Semi-dedicated Servers
Even if your websites were built with an older version of PHP, you’ll be able to host them in a semi-dedicated server account from us, as we support several versions running at the same time on our semi-dedicated servers and each of them can be activated for your account with just one click via our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Besides the newest PHP 7, we also support 5.3, 5.2 and the older PHP 4, which has already been abandoned by the majority of web hosting vendors, but we strongly maintain that you shouldn’t be forced to modify a website that took years to create, since older programming language syntax does not automatically imply security holes. Quite the opposite, a properly maintained website using PHP 4 can be more reliable than a badly maintained one using PHP 5. For your convenience’s sake, we will also offer you the opportunity to choose a different version of PHP for each individual site within your account.
